The Vankleek Hill Fibre Frolic presents:

(beginner level)

led by Robin Whitford

Saturday, September 24, 9am – 12pm

The Creating Centre, 11 High St.* Vankleek Hill, Ontario

$75+hst (there is a materials fee of $28 payable in cash to the instructor at the start of the workshop)

In this introductory workshop, students will discover the joy of Oxford punch needle and learn all the basic skills required to finish a little bird motif in an 8” hoop. During the class we will discuss the tools required to punch needle, the options for wools and yarns, and how to start and finish this cute piece that each student can personalize with their own colour preferences, selected from a “yarn buffet”. The materials fee covers an 8” hoop with monks cloth prepared with bird design, enough wool yarn to complete project, and use of an Oxford punch needle during the class time. The design has been developed so that students can complete it within class time. The instructor will have punch needles available for purchase ($48 each) should you wish to continue your punch needle journey!
