SOLD OUT || INTRODUCTION TO EMBROIDERY: EMBROIDERED LANDSCAPE WORKSHOP

LED BY ALEX KLEIN

Saturday, November 5, 2022, 10am – 3pm (bring your own lunch)

$90+hst (+ a materials fee of $20 cash payable to the instructor at the beginning of the class)

In this introductory workshop, students will begin by learning four basic embroidery stitches. We will then apply these stitches to a landscape embroidery in which students will have the choice to use one stitch or combine several in a beautiful composition. Students will also learn how to transfer a pattern to fabric and how to back their completed hoops. It is unlikely that students will complete their landscape embroidery during the workshop, but they will learn the skills to do so on their own, and leave with the materials needed as well as an instructional PDF to complete their artwork. (Take-home materials include: embroidery hoop, 10 skeins of DMC thread, fabric, practice fabric, and needle.)
