Reusable Beeswax Food Wraps Workshop with Andrea Glenn of Gibbs Honey

NEW SESSION: Saturday, April 9, 1:00pm – 2:30pm

$50+hst (there is a materials fee of $5 cash payable to the instructor at the start of the workshop)

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to take a few simple and sustainable materials and transform them into reusable food wraps that are an eco-friendly alternative to plastic wrap or bags. Using her apiary’s own beeswax, Andrea will share her recipe for treating cotton fabric so that it can be used again and again to store food in your fridge, pantry and lunchbox. You’ll come away with three reusable wraps and the knowledge and confidence to prepare more at home in the future!

About the instructor: Andrea Glenn is a beekeeper, candle-maker and co-owner of Gibbs Honey, a third-generation apiary based in Vankleek Hill. Established in 1934, Gibbs Honey produces raw wildflower honey and wax products, made only by their bees.

*A note to participants: please wear an apron or clothes that you do not mind getting beeswax on for this workshop*
